Paul Matthews FCA Managing Director
In my own words:
I am the managing director and it is my responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the practice. My focus is on working closely with clients, supporting the development of businesses at a strategic level in addition to providing the necessary compliance services. I have extensive experience advising clients on all aspects of auditing, accounting, taxation, finance and IT systems.
I gained a degree in Accountancy & Finance from the University of Southampton and trained with a leading practice in East Sussex, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. I then joined Spokes & Co (now Hilden Park Accountants) and four years later led the management buy-out of the practice.
Outside of the office I am a keen (self-confessed fair weather) golfer and an avid follower of horse racing. I enjoy pretty much every other sport, although as a spectator now as injuries have taken their toll! I am a huge foodie, with a love of both cooking and eating – preferably accompanied by a nice glass of wine of course.
